The OCP system is completely transparent to legitimate users, it is 100% compatible and compliant with the DVD-ROM and DVD-Video standards, provides for fair use in that it allows for the transcoding of content on portable media players, yet it does not allow for 1:1 digital replicas of protected content to be made onto recordable or pressed media.
